I’ve always gotten The Sound and appreciate it very much for all that it covers. I do wonder how you would manage without your very longtime reporter Pam Johnson. For many years, she has covered a wide range of local news, seemingly covering, among other items, every local board and meeting. Does she sleep?

Her story on the beloved Gill couple [“A Wonderful Life: Gills Share 65 Years Together,” Dec. 23, 2021] was not only an example of good writing but exactly what a good local paper should publish.

Thank heavens for local newspapers and competent and committed reporters like Pam Johnson.
