09/02/2020 08:00 AMIt seems that politics has grown increasingly contentious with an emphasis on negativity and division rather than positivity and compromise. If there is one leader who embodies the latter and not the former, it is Noreen Kokoruda. We have had occasion over the nine years of her service as General Assembly state representative for the 101st District to voice our concerns to Noreen on various issues. From the first time we met her, we were struck by her caring attitude. She did not know us, yet she treated us and our views as important. She was straightforward, listened, and responded with total attention to the subject.
That she is a proponent of a healthy state rainy day fund and retaining Madison’s AAA bond rating highlight her responsible perspective. She serves on five committees and has served on several task forces, some concerning children, education, water safety, and appropriations. She is exceptionally bi-partisan in all her work in Hartford. That approach will surely help rebuild Connecticut in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We hope your readers will take the time to learn more about Noreen and thus, cast their vote for her in November.
