Professionalism, Compassion, and Good Nature
In the early hours of April 13, I experienced a calamity that resulted in a broken collar bone and numerous bumps and bruises. Thanks to the careful and efficient work of EMTs Amanda and Jed of Essex Ambulance, I was taken to Shoreline Medical Center in Westbrook where the good work of Dr. Mary Ann Smith and staff resulted in a quick diagnosis and appropriate medication. I want to thank all involved for their professionalism, compassion, and good nature throughout the entire episode.
I realize that this is a difficult time for many, but I encourage your readers who have the means to consider a donation to the Essex Ambulance Association, which receives 97 percent of its funding through fees and donations. I know I will.
