A Fresh Perspective

My name is Laurie Jaffe and I am running for election to the Clinton Zoning Board of Appeals.

I believe that my professional experience makes me very well-qualified to serve on the Zoning Board of Appeals. Before moving to town, I practiced law in Illinois for 30 years. My work as a civil litigator involved detailed document review and the analysis of administrative records. I understand the importance of following the rules. My goal will be to make sure that variances are granted only when properly demonstrated.

I am very excited about the recent development taking place in Clinton. As a relative newcomer to town, I can perhaps offer a fresh perspective on issues that will come before the Zoning Board of Appeals. By serving on the board, I can help to continue moving Clinton forward in a positive way that complies with the town’s regulations and respects its traditions.
