Make the Best Decisions
I am running for my second term as a member of the Killingworth Planning & Zoning Commission. This commission is very important to the stability and careful economic growth of our community. Over the past four years, I have worked to diligently review many applications and in collaboration with colleagues on the commission to make the best decisions for the good of Killingworth.
Like much of Connecticut, the population of our town is predicted to decrease over the next 20 years, by as much as 27 percent. This is due, in part, to senior citizens leaving town and young folks not able to find housing to fit their needs. As a commission member I will work toward developing regulations that will permit the type of housing needed to allow people to stay in town.
I am currently the zoning enforcement officer (ZEO) in North Branford. I previously worked as the ZEO in Norwich and Wallingford. I served for six years on the Planning & Zoning Commission in Brooklyn, Connecticut. I am certified by the Connecticut Association of Zoning Enforcement Officials as an enforcement official.
I have been the chair of the H-K High School Renovation Committee for almost three years. I am also a retired lieutenant with the Connecticut State Police and have broad knowledge of issues important to Connecticut residents. I ask for your readers’ support at the polls on Nov. 5.
