06/19/2019 08:00 AMBees are on the decline. Bee pollination is responsible for much of the food we eat. Their decline will seriously impact our food supply.
According to the National Pesticide Information Center (NPIC), a chemical called bifenthrin is “very highly toxic to bees.” Many of my neighbors in Ivoryton hire companies that spray their lawns with BISECT. BISECT’s label states its active ingredient is bifenthrin, which is toxic to bees.
In my own garden, I have seen a devastating decline of the bee population in just two years. Homeowners need to learn about the hazards of products used on their lawns. Companies must stop using products containing bifenthrin, such as BISECT.
Dead bees can’t pollinate. I encourage your readers to stop using BISECT.
