Support of the Library
The Scranton Library Friends (SLF) Membership Appeal has been mailed to all Madison residents. By joining SLF, your readers help pay for programs at the library for all ages, babies to seniors. The SLF supports many programs, art, music, reading, lectures, and the popular Trivia nights, as well as many other programs. Dues also help to support the library’s budget, which is not fully funded by the town. I encourage your readers to join us by becoming a member of SLF.
The membership letters were assembled by a group of volunteers who worked many hours to get the job done. These wonderful people are Liz Atteberry, Marsha and Tom Brunelle, Barbra Buckley, Marta Carbone, Beth Cerny, Paula Chabot, Pat and Lee Chmieleski, Thom and Charlene Cobb, Marianne Frost, Susannah Graedel, Caroline Guenther, Carollyn Kahler, Cindy Leet, Mary Lienhard, Sandy Long, Rose Ann MacDonald, Carolyn Martinelli, Fillmore and Joan McPherson, Ingrid Oris, Connie Piccione, Joyce and Jerry Rourke, Glenn Scharf, Lisa Sepe, Jerry Simandl, Jen Thompson, Diane Vanacore, Phyllis Wigham, and Nicole Wiles.
We also thank Cohen’s Bagels for a supply of delicious bagels, which we enjoyed while working. Many thanks also go to American Legion Griswold Post #79 for the use of its hall to put together the mailing. We could not do this work without the help of all these people. We salute them for their support of the library.
