Part of the Fabric of Branford
I am writing to express my thanks and gratitude to Bobby and Maria Esposito, owners of the Branford Book and Card Shoppe on Main Street. Together they operated Branford Book and Card for more than 44 years. Branford Book and Card was truly an icon of the town of Branford and I was saddened when I learned of their plans to close.
The Espositos’ dedication to their customers made them a part of the fabric of Branford as almost every resident has a memory they can recall of a visit to the store. From the moment you stepped inside, you immediately felt welcomed and a part of the family as the same smiling faces would greet you and make conversation. I fondly remember visits to the store to purchase newspapers, greeting cards, gifts, and comic books for my young sons over the years. I consider myself and the residents of Branford very fortunate for having the opportunity to visit with Bobby, Maria, and the entire staff of Branford Book and Card over the years.
I would like to thank the Esposito family for their great service to the community and fond memories and wish them a well-deserved retirement.
