Character, Morals, and Kindness
I am a small business owner, a mother of two, and a registered Democrat and I am voting for Adam Greenberg for State Senate. I can’t remember ever voting for a Republican—not because of party lines, but rather because as a lifelong supporter of minority opinions, I have not met a Republican candidate whom I could support, until now.
This election more than any other seems to be mostly about party affiliation. I believe we should vote our conscience. Vote for who you believe will fight for what is important to you. I have known Adam for years. I have seem him speak, I know about his company, I have read about his Major League Baseball career, but I am here to speak about his character.
Adam has been a mentor to my son for more than two years. He has taken endless late night phone calls with words of encouragement. He has attended baseball games in support of my son’s handwork. He has done all of this without being asked, and while being a father, a business owner, and running for State Senate.
When Adam told me he was running for the Senate, I immediately told him. “I am a Democrat.” I asked his opinion on gun control, a woman’s right to choose, the economy, and small businesses and I was pleasantly surprised to hear his answers.
I believe Adam when he says he will work to make Connecticut better. I believe that today, we need more people like Adam. His character, morals, and kindness will help restore what was once the great state of Connecticut.
