A Strong Advocate
Jason Adler is running to represent Clinton, Killingworth, and Westbrook, the 35th District in the House of Representatives. I am supporting him because he will be a strong advocate for Clinton, whose interests have been neglected for the last four years. He will fight for scarce infrastructure funds that will help Clinton in its pursuit of economic development. He will work with all parties to ensure that the needs of our small towns are recognized along with those of large cities.
I know that Jason will protect access to affordable health care for families at a time when the national administration is pushing to abolish the protections that the Affordable Care Act gives for those with pre-existing conditions. This would mean that the cost of health insurance premiums could skyrocket for thousands in Connecticut who least can afford it.
Jason would also defend a woman’s right to choose in Connecticut state law, which would help protect women in the likely event that the U.S. Supreme Court overthrows Roe vs. Wade.
In a time when Connecticut state law and states’ rights will be important to push back against federal laws that go against the needs and economic wellbeing of Connecticut citizens, we need a strong advocate.
