Angels Among Us

I am writing to thank the angel who was at the Village Inn Diner on Main Street in East Haven when my co-teacher and I took our special education students to our annual end-of-the-year breakfast there. As usual the owner, management, and the fabulous waitress Gail were incredibly welcoming and attentive to the students.

What made such a great time together even better was when Gail announced that a customer (anonymously) had paid the bill for the 16 students who had just finished their breakfast!

We would like to thank the diner and let him or her know it was the best lesson of generosity and caring that the kids could have learned all year. There really are a lot of angels among us, you just have to look and you’ll find them.
