12/13/2017 07:00 AMOn behalf of The Madison Jaycees, I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the local community for supporting our Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. The success of the race and family walk has helped The Jaycees raise well over $500,000 through the years for local charities.
Our event would not be possible without the support of The First Congregational Church of Madison, First Selectman Tom Banisch, and Chief Jack Drumm of the Madison Police Department. I would also like to acknowledge The Source/Shore Publishing for its continued help in promoting the Turkey Trot, as well as Lenny & Joe’s Fish Tale for its generosity as title sponsor. We are grateful that our sponsors are too numerous to name here, but please visit www.madisonjc.com for a complete listing.
This year more than 3,000 runners and walkers began their day at the Turkey Trot, enjoying a beautiful race course lined with cheering neighbors and post-race festivities with friends and family. The Jaycees are thankful for our Race Committee and all of the volunteers whose hard work made this event possible. I look forward to seeing everyone again at next year’s Madison Turkey Trot!
