Happy, Peaceful, and Productive
I recently celebrated my 90th birthday, and believe me, I never had one previously like this last Feb. 8 event!
I always knew that in a small close town, news travels fast and wide. More than 150 wonderful cards and messages came to me from family, friends, and many people I have been associated with over many years. The messages brought back wonderful memories of things that happened over the past 70-plus years. When I became a voter, wife, mother, committee member, first selectwoman, and lately a member of our wonderful organizations, lots of fun things happened. Our town celebrated the Bi-Centennial in 1976, our 350th anniversary 1985, and just about anything else we could hold a parade for—the Police Department suffered through it!
Sincere thanks to all who made my life, to this point, happy, peaceful, and productive.
I love this town and all of its people.
