Time and Excellent Chili

Thank you to everyone who supported The Chester Hose Company’s annual Chili Cook-Off. More than 800 people tasted the flavorful chilis and enjoyed the beautiful day. A huge thank you goes to the following fire departments and vendors that donated their time and excellent chili: Deep River Fire, Old Lyme Fire, Wades’s Country Store, The Ivory Restaurant, Chester Rotary, Simon’s Marketplace, The Wheatmarket, Chester Village West, Bill’s Seafood, Aaron Manor, and Porky Pete’s BBQ. Without them this event would not have been a success!

The 2017 winners included Best Firehouse Chili (voted by attendees): Old Lyme Fire; People’s Choice (voted by attendees): Chester Village West; Best Table Display: The Wheatmarket (Wizard of Oz theme); and Most Unique Chili: Chester Village West (South Korean Chili).
