10/26/2016 08:00 AMIt was more than three years ago when I was first introduced to 36th District state representative candidate, Bob Siegrist (R). He shared insights he gained through being accessible to residents of the 36th District as a local staple and a student of community concerns. Bob made it very clear from our initial conversation that he truly understands the challenges this district faces with increasing taxes, unfunded mandates, and aging demographics. I thought to myself, “Well hello, finally a new and fresh face to a reasonable and thoughtful approach to governing.” I was so excited and that feeling runs true even more today. Bob knows the challenges our district faces within the state in maintaining our current level of state funding for education and infrastructure improvements and the impact it has on town budgets.
Bob’s degree in political science, work within the local communities, and his dedication to ensuring a secure future for our seniors and a brighter future for our children makes him a highly qualified candidate to ensure our needs and not those of the party line are met.
Bob possess a welcoming ear; he actively listens and has ability to drill down to the core issue. He doesn’t just say he is dedicated to ensuring a healthy and clean environment for our next generation, but proves it by continually studying both the large and small environmental issues impacting our communities and waterways, and supports local environmental initiatives.
Bob embodies the characteristics we need in our leadership for the 36th District, possessing strong, solid values, and acting with honesty and integrity. His rational ideas for government focuses on the greater good and inspire hope for our future.
It is with pride I support Bob Siegrist for State representative to the 36th District.
