An Agent of Change

There are many who believe that this year’s state elections are critical to our overall future and wellbeing. Under Governor Dannel Malloy and the Democrat leadership, Connecticut currently is (from Forbes) worst in economic growth, fourth highest in debt per capita, one of the worst business climates in the country, and subject to the largest tax increase in Connecticut history. The American Legislative Council rated Connecticut 45th {out of 50) in economic performance and 47th in future outlook. The Cato Institute gave Connecticut an F Grade under Malloy and the Democrats for policies that restrict investors. Under Malloy and the Democrats, Connecticut has enacted literally hundreds of tax increases. Manufacturing, insurance, and now financial industries are fleeing our state. Further ratings include: worst place to retire (Milford, Connecticut from Bankrate.com), and from CNBC 47th in cost of doing business, 47th in infrastructure, 46th in cost of living, and43rd overall. Transportation.gov states that 73 percent of our roads are in mediocre or poor condition (surprising considering we are so highly taxed).

To correct these deep-rooted problems, we need someone who is familiar with and accustomed to solving serious and multifaceted challenges. Twelfth District State Senate candidate Bruce Wilson (R) is that man. He has been involved with and a leader in both community and business endeavors. Previously president of a substantial corporation, he currently assumed turn-around control of a local company. He has been very effective as a member of Madison’s town government, and is known for his admirable and intelligent concern for the community, its people and its environment.

Sometimes, when there is a deep crisis, an agent of change is needed. That person is Bruce Wilson. It’s about time we vote for Connecticut.
