An Effective Advocate

A few years ago, I got an email from a North Haven resident who wanted to improve the Democratic Town Committee’s outreach online. That resident was Steve Gifford. He did exactly what he set out to and he has become a key member of our community.

Steve Gifford is now running for state representative, and I encourage my fellow North Haven voters to support him. Steve and his family are committed to our town and he has the knowledge and judgment to represent us effectively in Hartford.

This next legislative session will require tough choices, especially in the budgeting process. Republican leaders have steadfastly refused to take part in budgeting, which leaves North Haven at a severe disadvantage. Steve will be an effective advocate for us all, because he will be in the room where it happens at the Capitol where policy is made, instead of on the sidelines offering criticism without solutions.

I encourage your readers to vote for real leadership in Steve Gifford on Nov. 8.
