Love of the Game

Thank you for running the July 28 “Person of the Week” profile on Ken Skidmore. We have known Ken ever since he began coaching our daughter soccer when she was in elementary school. It was great to learn about his early years in New Hampshire and how he stayed with soccer all of his adult life.

Ken, in addition to Dave Krikorian, Jason DiGiandomenico, Mike Mozzochi, and Mike Koziy, have always taught our daughter respect for the game and respect for players and referees. Many team coaches in different Morgan sports treat these principles as platitudes only. Ken embraces them.

We applaud Ken in his devotion not only to the game but to his calm and positive demeanor and helpful coaching style. It has helped form our daughter’s respect and love of the game, which she will carry through to her Wesleyan soccer team this fall.
