12/02/2015 07:00 AMI am sure there are many in our community that don’t know about this incredible group of teenagers. They meet weekly at the Hagaman Memorial Library, under the supervision of Teen Service Librarian Sarah Mallory. They are known as H-TAG—Hagaman Teen Advisory Group. This group reviews teen books before distribution from publishers.
There are only 15 of these groups in the country and our group is the only one in Connecticut. Besides all the group’s members do for the library, they have volunteered their time to help the Friends of the Library in our fundraising functions. At our book sale at the Fall Festival, they were with us from opening to closing time working tirelessly and cheerfully greeting customers. They helped in every aspect of our recent Whist Party from setting up and carrying refreshments and prizes to clean-up. They certainly helped to make these and past events so successful and a pleasure to be part of. We want to thank them for all they do to make our library and town proud.
