As a change of pace from the letters about politics, I want to shed some well-deserved attention on the East Haven High School (EHHS) football program. It has improved dramatically from previous years. Their record is as impressive as their hard work and play on the field.

I played in the late ’90s and our record wasn’t the greatest, but we played hard. Teams to follow played hard as well, but wins were scarce. I applaud the EHHS athletics program, the players, and coaches. They are bringing football pride back to our town and proving that we can compete with anyone in the state. I hope they keep playing hard with the passion and heart they have and most important have fun, stay safe, and keep making the town proud!
