A Level-Headed, No-Nonsense Voice
I am writing to endorse Carl Von Dassel for the Old Saybrook Police Commission. I am a 15-year resident of Old Saybrook and Carl represents the best of Old Saybrook. He is an honest, hard working man.
Carl has lived in town since he was six years old and is a third-generation business owner here in town. He has raised two boys with his wife Denise, a local architect, and has been very involved with his sons every step of the way. He was involved with Destination Imagination at the middle school, Safe Grad at the high school, and was a past president of the Old Saybrook High School Touchdown Club. In addition to this he was also on the Zoning Board of Appeals and was president of the Connecticut Glass Dealers Association.
The reason I mention all of these things is to shed some light on the many facets of Carl’s life, family, and career. As a member of the Police Commission, Carl brings firsthand experience of being a resident and participant in the day-to-day life in Old Saybrook. Partisanship aside, Carl would bring a level-headed, no-nonsense voice to the commission as he is a great communicator and problem-solver who has the best interests of our town in mind. He will work tirelessly with the commission and the Old Saybrook Police Department to ensure that our Police Department serves and enriches our community while keeping our town and residents safe. I hope your readers will agree and vote for Carl Von Dassel on Nov. 3.
