Thanks to our Volunteers
I would like to thank M & J Beach Grill and Seafood for assisting the Madison Senior Center this summer. During the month of July, M & J owner John Ceneri provided daily lunch for our seniors at the Surf Club and the reviews were fantastic. Each day John and his staff would provide made-to-order lunch for the seniors who had registered. They did so with a smile, patience, and remarkable level of kindness.
I would also like to thank the students and staff and Madison Youth & Family Services for the assistance this summer with serving, not only at the Surf Club, but also at our new café at the Senior Center. Erin Corbett, Derek Cornwell, and their students have provided a wonderful service to the seniors of Madison.
Last but not least I would like to thank one of the finest summer volunteers I have had the pleasure to work with, Olivia Zsebik. Olivia has provided a level of commitment and altruism that is rarely seen. This summer was Olivia’s second volunteering at the Senior Center and to say she is a valuable team member is the understatement of all understatements. Olivia has performed almost every job at the center: dishwasher, server, receptionist, assisting on the grocery bus, and so many others I cannot list them all. Olivia has thoughtfully completed each of these tasks with the precision and professionalism seldom seen in a high school volunteer.
Thanks go to all of our volunteers for helping make the Madison Senior Center the vibrant and active place it is.
