A Job Well Done
Last Thursday, a small dog escaped from its owner’s home. On Friday, we became aware of the situation when Laura Burban, director of the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, was seen pursuing the animal through the field across from our home. We, too, pursued the dog in our truck, but he was able to elude all of us in a wooded overgrown area.
The shelter staff set traps; scoured woods, fields, streams, and ponds in pursuit of the animal morning, noon, and late into the evening; and even checked traps in the middle of the night for several days. He was captured and returned to his owners late Monday morning.
We commend Laura and her staff for their determination, dedication, and diligence in seeing that this little dog was returned home safely. A job well done, ladies.
