Hope to Engage the Community

As the co-president of the Ridge Road Elementary School PTA, it is a privilege to share with the North Haven community some new ways that we are raising funds for our PTA. Our executive board has shown unwavering support and passion for the children and staff at Ridge Road by organizing some exciting upcoming events.

On Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the PTA is hosting a large tag sale in the school gym, located at 1341 Ridge Road. I encourage your readers to stop by to browse the practical, interesting, and fun items for sale. Those with items to donate or who would like more information about this event may contact Ann Lawlor at annlawlor@sbcglobal.net.

We will also be hosting a "Honey Do Men's Bake-off" on Friday, Oct. 4 from 8 to 11 p.m. at the High Lane Club, 40 High Lane in North Haven. This adults-only event will create a fun competition between talented men in our community, showing off their baking skills. There will be a cash bar and DJ. Tickets are $15 per person (advance sale) or $18 at the door. Tickets include dessert samples and voting chips. Additional voting chips will be for sale so that attendees' favorite Honey Do baker can be crowned the "Mr. Honey Do." Baker entries are $25 per baker. To purchase tickets or enter a baker, contact Ann Benowitz at ahben11@comcast.net.

We hope to engage the North Haven community and invite everyone to support our events. We look forward to seeing them there!
