Putting the Pieces Together
A huge shout of "Thanks" to the Friends of the North Branford Libraries, which sponsored the fourth annual Puzzle-Off Competition at the Edward Smith Library in Northford. Ten teams assembled and began piecing together their strategy.
Team "Getting Jiggy with It" completed its puzzle in an hour and 40 minutes, followed by "The Piece-Makers" a mere 13 minutes later! Each of the 10 teams managed to finish its 1,000-piece puzzle by the end of the event.
This year we were blessed to have a visit from Amy Elliott, who is an award-winning photographer and documentary filmmaker in New York City. She has been shooting video and still editorial assignments for the past 15 years, with a particular focus on regional American culture and customs. Clients include The New York Times, American Road, Field and Stream, American Cowboy, The Public Art Fund, and The American Legion. She was chosen as one of ASMP's Best of 2012 honorees. She is a graduate of Princeton University.
There will be a puzzle-off held at the Atwater Library on Saturday, April 27. I encourage your readers to register in person or by phone 20-315-6020 if interested.
