Cheerful and Hardworking Support
Letters for the Friends of the Scranton Library Book Fund annual drive were assembled by a hardworking group of volunteers and then were mailed to Madison households. Donations to the Book Fund support materials that the library would otherwise not be able to afford. While many folks check out printed material, ebooks supplied by the library have become very popular as well. Picture books for young children, teen fiction, adult bestsellers, DVDs, and other resources can remain current with money from the Book Fund. I encourage your readers to support this important drive by sending in your donation.
A large group of Madison citizens helped to get out the annual appeal. They are: Allison Becker and golden retriever Gordon, Beth Becker, Carol Bostrum, Marsha Brunelle, Janet Caulkins, Dan Chabris, Charlene and Thom Cobb, Irene Curtis, Gerald Degenhardt, Doris DeWees, Gail Fearon, Beth Garcia, Susannah Graedel, Betsy Haigis, Grace Hall, Amy Jamison, Carolynn Kahler, Phyllis Kaufman, Jackie Kay, Marilyn Kennedy, Helen Kitzman, Cindy Leet, Mary Lienhard, Barbara Lipman, Becky Lyon, Anna Jean McCurdy, Lynn Monahan, Pauline Murphy, Vicki Murphy, Laura Osterman, Connie Piccione, Nancy Porter, Kerry Prior, Joan Rappleyea, Hank Robinson, Jerry Simandl, Sheila Sullivan, Shirley and Allan Tibbitts, Dorothy Torres, and Judy Whitehead.
The Friends of the Scranton Library appreciates the cheerful and hardworking support given by all of these volunteers. Thanks go to all of these special people who are always willing to help the library.
