North Haven Holds Collegiate Athletics Recognition Ceremony
North Haven High School hosted its annual Collegiate Athletics Recognition Ceremony on June 2. At the ceremony, 15 North Haven senior student-athletes were recognized for committing to continue their athletic careers at the next level.
Guest speaker Bill Mecca, the senior associate director of athletics at Quinnipiac University, shared his words of wisdom to the graduating seniors at the ceremony. After that, each of the student-athletes received a certificate of achievement from the North Haven athletic department.
The student-athletes who attended the recognition ceremony include:
Anthony Acampora, who will continue his baseball career at Albertus Magnus College
Mike Anquillare, who will play baseball at Stony Brook University
Chandler Ceste-Martinez, who will play soccer at the University of St. Joseph
Megan Cross, who is going to play softball at Albertus Magnus
Cole DeCusati, who will compete in indoor track and track and field at Sacred Heart University
Umi El Mammann, who will compete for the gymnastics team at Brown University
Giulia Faulkner, who will continue her swimming career at Assumption University
Ada Forbes, who will play soccer at Cedarville University
Donovan Luna, who is going to play soccer for Colby-Sawyer College
Taylor Morris, who will play tennis at Bentley University
Derek Novicki, who will compete for the baseball team at Kueka College
Shea Saracino, who is going to play lacrosse at Campbell University
Lexy Signor, who will play volleyball for Albertus Magnus
Jamie Swiatek, who is continuing her softball career at Albertus Magnus, and
Ally Vollero, who is heading off to Lafayette College to play tennis.
The North Haven athletic department extends its congratulations to all of these student-athletes who are going to participate in sports at the collegiate level.
