Murray to be Inducted into CIAC Hall of Honor

The Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) and the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) is holding its annual CAS-CIAC Hall of Honor Dinner at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington on Thursday, May 26. At the dinner, seven distinguished individuals who made significant contributions to the CAS-CIAC will be recognized as part of the organization’s fifth class of inductees, including former Branford High School (BHS) basketball coach Tom Murray.

Murray was a highly successful teacher and coach at BHS, earning him spots in both the Branford Sports Hall of Fame and the Connecticut High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Murray was also a longtime member of the CIAC Basketball Committee and an assistant director of the CIAC basketball tournaments, serving in the critical role of assigning officials for the tournaments from 1990 to 2018.
