Guilford Girls’ Hockey Loses Season Opener

The Guilford girls’ ice hockey team played a road game against Amity-North Haven- Cheshire in its season opener last week. The Grizzlies took a 3-2 defeat to the Blades at Lou Astorino Ice Arena on Dec. 11.

Guilford is coming off of a campaign that saw the team finish with an overall record of 8-2. The Grizzlies made it to the SCC Tournament final for the second-straight season, taking a 5-2 loss to West Haven-Sacred Heart Academy.
