07/20/2020 12:00 AMThe Clinton Huskies’ 16-U AAU East Shore Travel League Baseball Team had a couple of tough contests last week. The Huskies were defeated in a doubleheader versus the Torrington Copperheads at the Indian River Complex on July 11. The Huskies’ record fell to 1-3 on the year with the two losses.
In the first game, the Huskies’ offense had a tough time getting going as it was outscored by a 9-1 margin. Clinton didn’t fare any better in the nightcap as it lost a 9-0 decision against the Copperheads. The Huskies look to get back on track next week with several contests still yet to be played on the season.
