The Morgan JV boys’ basketball team recently competed in the Mike Small Summer Basketball League in Wallingford and was crowned the league champion for the second year in a row.

The Huskies went up against teams from Branford, Guilford, Lyman Hall, Sheehan, and Xavier during league play. Morgan then defeated Xavier in the semifinals of the playoffs to advance to the championship game. In the final, the Huskies finished off their season by earning a convincing victory over Guilford to claim the league championship.

The members of the Morgan team are Dominic Cacopardo, Dante DiGianni, Connor Duffy, Michael Fragola, Alex Fratamico, Brady Fritz, Cameron Johnson, Josh Laggis, Tim McComiskey, Drew Nye, Matt O’Rourke, and Nick Schmidt. Morgan is coached by Sean Duffy, Todd Laggis, and Willie Fritz.
