Guilford sophomore Alexandra Mayo posted a time of 1:58.73 in the 200-yard freestyle to finish in 20th place at the State Open Girls’ Swimming Championship at Yale University on Nov. 18. Mayo’s performance resulted in five points on behalf of the Indians at the Open, putting them into a tie for 47th place at the meet. Mayo had previously placed 11th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:58.19 at the Class M State Championship.
