Guilford Athletes Help Connecticut Basketball Academy Take a Title

The Connecticut Basketball Academy U-12 basketball team that included four Guilford residents captured the U-12 championship at Vertical Hoops’ Fall Series Tip-off Classic held at Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven last month. Jack Fusco, Kevin Goldberg, Ryan McGowan, Caleb Reynolds, and Josh Violette were the Guilford athletes who competed for the squad. The other members of the team were Marlon Ward, Ramel Poindexter, Nasir Collins, Avery Lamothe, Caleb Reynolds, Gary Konopka, and Brandon Hutchison. The squad was coached by Tom Doyle, Sr.,, and Jim Dempsey.
