Braves Maintain Top Spot in Deep River Horseshoe League Standings
Billy Beckwith was on his game during Week 12 action in the Deep River Horseshoe League. Beckwith tallied a score of 131 to lead all players in the A Division on June 29. Chris Christensen shot a 126 to take second place, while Vinny Jonynas scored a 125 and finished in third.
Mark Goodale came through with a score of 111 to lead all competitors in B Division for Week 12 play. Joe Heery and Gerald Hines tied for second place as they both shot a total of 103.
For the C Division, Anthony Conklin kept up his great play this summer by shooting a 95 to claim first-place honors. Gary Brainard placed second with a 93, and Cody Layton took third by scoring an 83.
In terms of the team standings, the Braves are 47-25 and continue to hold a two-game lead over the Dodgers (45-27) for the top spot. The Cubs and Padres are tied for third place at 41-31, while the Red Sox sit in fifth place with a mark of 39.5-32.5.
