North Haven Names Costanzo New Boys’ Ice Hockey Coach
The North Haven High School (NHHS) athletic department is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Nick Costanzo as the new head coach for the boys’ varsity ice hockey team. Mr. Costanzo is an alumnus of North Haven High School and a former member of the boys’ ice hockey team.
As a player and a coach, Coach Costanzo’s experience speaks for itself. In addition to playing for NHHS, he has played for Hebron Academy and the Hartford Junior Wolfpack, as well as for Johnson & Wales University. Additionally, Coach Costanzo has a wide range of coaching experience from his previous stint with the NHHS program, several youth hockey organizations, and his most recent experience as a volunteer assistant with the Yale University men’s hockey team.
“We are very excited to bring Coach Costanzo back to the NHHS boys’ ice hockey program,” NHHS Athletic Director Steve Blumenthal said. “His focus on structure, discipline and character, along with his wealth of knowledge for the game of hockey, will enable our student-athletes to get to the next level.”
