The North Haven Middle School competition cheerleading team recently won the top prize in its division at the New England Cheerleading Association (NECA) meet. North Haven placed first in the Intermediate Division at the NECA meet, which was held at East Haven High School on Feb. 25.

North Haven is coached by Stephanie Corniello, Jordan Brangi, and Melissa Delvasto. The athletes on the team are Olivia Brangi, Gianna D’Angelo, Kelsey Coppola, Lexy Coppola, Maddie LaDore, Gianna Mastroianni, Emily Orth, Gracie Peruso, Taylor Quinn, Maxine Samperi, Kylie Signore, Ariana Stewart, and Jane Yi.
