North Haven Hands Out Awards from Winter Season
The North Haven High School Indian Booster Club’s winter banquet was held on March 15 and numerous athletes who compete in cheerleading, girls’ basketball, girls’ indoor track, girls’ ice hockey, and boys’ and girls’ fencing were recognized for their achievements through the past few months.
North Haven’s Most Valuable Players from the recent season were Stephanie Corniello in cheerleading, Lia Crowley for girls’ fencing, Erin Owens for girls’ ice hockey, Julia Puzone in girls’ basketball, Francesco Spirlli in boys’ fencing, and Elise Symon for the girls’ indoor track team.
Winning Most Improved Player accolades were Julianna Daddio with the Blades’ girls’ ice hockey squad, Ariana DelVecchio for girls’ hoops, Aliza Knight in girls’ fencing, Michael Ricci in cheerleading, Kayla Rodriguez for girls’ indoor track, and Beracah Xiao for boys’ fencing,
The Sportsmanship Awards were presented to Catherine Babbidge of girls’ hockey, Reaghan Bathrick in girls’ indoor track, Kayla Ciccarelli in girls’ fencing, Christina DeFalco with girls’ basketball, Ben Papsun from the boys’ fencing team, and Morgan Sullivan for cheerleading.
Also, several North Haven athletes were honored with All-Academic distinction from the SCC. The recipients were Jordyn Aurora, Bathrick, Sarah Bouffard, Kylie Brandt, Matthew Carroll, Charlotte Cecarelli, Clare Connell, Corniello, Crowley, DeFalco, Claire Fresher, Jake Hlavaty, Jacqueline Howlett, Hillary Hoyt, Olivia Hoyt, Knight, Ahna Knudsen, Erica Marriott, Jessica McInnis, Jill Oestreicher, Owens, Shannon Reilly, Katie Rogers, Sarina Sandwell, Angela Sanzari, Emily Shea, Jordyn Sheeley, Sprili, Connie Tao, Maily Tran, Anthony Yang, Richard Yik, and Leah Zeisner.
