Defenders AAU Win “War at the Shore” Tournament
The Connecticut Defenders AAU Elite 11U baseball team defeated the New York Tigers 10-1 on Aug. 3 to win the "War at the Shore" Tournament at Bridebrook Park in East Lyme. To reach the championship game, the Defenders had to defeat the Rhode Island Red Sox and the Stamford Outlaws. The Defenders are based out of Westbrook and include players from throughout the shoreline area.
