The Thunderbirds were shut out in the first half by Pequot foe Coginchaug and lost their third straight game at home, 48-20.

Austin Calamita scored two touchdowns for North Branford (5-4), including a 79-yard punt return in the third quarter. Calamita's other TD came on a 64-yard pass from quarterback Paul Pastet, who finished the game 7-of-14 for 149 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Usual quarterback Eddie Miller didn't attempt a pass in this one and had one carry for 11 yards. Head Coach Mark Basil said that Miller took a shot to the head on North Branford's second series and didn't return to the game.
