Morgan Boys’ Lacrosse Finishes Strong in Shoreline

Ending 7-1 in the Shoreline Conference, the Morgan boys’ lacrosse squad won three games last week to reach that mark and finish with the best record in the league.

The Huskies first beat Windsor 19-5 on May 14. Nick Testoni logged four goals and seven assists, Chris Waterbury had five goals, and goalie Connor Moran notched 12 saves in net.

“This was a good win against a Class M school,” said Coach Andy Wrynn. “Our attack generated most of our scoring in this fast-paced game. Connor Moran had a strong game in goal for us.”

On May 16, Morgan then beat Old Saybrook 19-7. Testoni had six goals and six assists, Marc Simmons had five goals and an assist, and Alex Eimutus notched 12 saves in goal.

“This was an important win for us,” said Wrynn. “This was an action-packed game that gave us many scoring chances. Nick Testoni and Marc Simmons led the offense today.”

On May 17, Morgan then beat Old Lyme 15-9 behind Testoni’s six goals and four assists, Simmons’ five goals and one assist, and Alex Best’s two goals.

“Our midfielders played a huge role in this win,” said Wrynn. “This was a physical game and our seniors rose to the occasion on Senior Night. We were very happy to get this win and finish 7-1 in Shoreline games this season.”
