North Branford's Katelyn Pantera Helps Connecticut Stars Girls' Ice Hockey Team to Tourney Victory
Pictured are the athletes on the Mid-Fairfield Connecticut Stars U14 Tier 1 girls' ice hockey team, which recently prevailed in the prestigious sixth annual Polar Bears Tournament. Katelyn Pantera, a North Branford resident and 9th-grader, was one of the athletes who aided the Stars, who went 5-1 in the tournament and beat Ontario, Canada, 3-2 in a thrilling championship game involving two overtime periods and a sudden-victory shootout.
