The varsity team topped Valley Regional on Dec. 28 before falling to Canton in the championship two days later to stand at 3-3. HK's JV team also topped Valley to earn a trip to the championship game where the Cougars topped St. Bernard's JV team.In first-round action behind a game-high 21 points from senior captain Jordan Shultz, HK defeated Valley 63-41.

Juniors Emily Anderson (17 points,
15 rebounds) and Lauren Muise
(15 points) helped pace the impressive offensive effort. Also scoring for HK were Shaina Rowley (five points), Ashley Mooney (three points), and Carley Mooney (two points), while Shultz pulled down 10 rebounds.
