Flynn, originally from Madison, is a stand-up comedian, actor, television host, and founder/executive director of the Nantucket Comedy Festival, which benefits Stand Up and Learn, a comedy education program that teaches kids confidence, creativity, and communication skills through the medium of stand-up comedy.
His original piece, Fear of Heights! examines the American experience through the lens of his Irish immigrant family. Flynn’s father and grandfather were both steelworkers and inspired the title of this work. Fear of Heights! examines what it means to be a man, and how one generation measures success relative to their forebears, themes that run throughout this hilarious biographical work that draws in part from his childhood in Madison.
