Nibbles: Breakfast at Dunkin’
On a recent morning, I woke up by 6:30 a.m. and realized I had a very busy ahead. My car was due for service in Old Saybrook, then lunch in Middletown, then home to finish work, and then two meetings in the evening. I was hungry and in a hurry. I dashed into a Dunkin’ on Route 1. I didn’t want a donut. Well, maybe I did, but I knew I shouldn’t, so I didn’t. Hmmm, how about a medium coffee and a piece of toast topped with hummus and roasted tomatoes? Has anything ever tasted that good? Maybe not. The bread was so thick and toasty, the hummus warmed from the toast, and the tomatoes positively blistered. Best of all? I wasn’t even hungry at lunch.
Any Dunkin’
