Villa Lulu, 230 College Street, New Haven opened in late August, taking its place next to the Latin restaurant Pacifico, which is part of the same restaurant group. Run by restaurateurs Moe Gad and Chef Rafael Palomino, Villa Lulu promises to be “a spirited contemporary Italian eatery wrapped in stylish décor, featuring regional Italian comfort food, a curated Italian wine list, and a modern cocktail culture.” Executive Chef Denis Marukovich will be familiar to anyone who’s eaten at Tarry Lodge in Westport and New Haven.
