Unwavering Support

Same great food, but shorter hours at Claire’s, for now. Photo courtesy of Claire’s

Claire’s Corner Copia, 1000 Chapel Street, New Haven is one of several restaurants expressing concerns about being short-staffed, now that workers who are students are back to school. Claire’s has, for the time being, reduced its hours to 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. They hope to resume their original hours soon. Other restaurants along the shoreline have sometimes had to close at short notice, or not open at all some days, also due to staff shortages. Claire’s wrote in a recent Facebook post, “Thank you for your unwavering support, and for being the best customers and community anyone can wish for.” As our area restaurateurs continue to work around staffing shortages, it’s the least we can do.
