Petonito’s Pastry and Cupcake Shoppe, 190 Main Street, East Haven plans, on Saturday, May 1, to kick off Petonito’s Café on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 5 to 8 p.m. The menu will include pastries, specialty cheesecakes, gelato, ice cream with toppings, sundaes, espresso, cappuccino, and more, including specialty coffee drinks. It sounds like a great way to kick off, or wind up, the weekend.—Pem McNerney
