Lyme Academy Opens Registration for Spring Classes

The Lyme Academy of Fine Arts is offering a variety of workshops, weekly classes, day and night open studios, as well as a three-part First Thursdays Lecture Series coming up this spring, and registration is open now.

Workshops include Sculpting the Figure with Brian Booth Craig from Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 5. Minimalist Still Life Painting with Samuel Hung is offered Friday May 1 through Sunday, May 3, followed by Video for Social Media on Saturdays, May 9 and 16, and Intermediate Painting En Plein Air and In-Studio with Zufar Bikbo, Thursday through Saturday, May 28 through May 30.

Weekly classes include Fundamentals of Oil Painting and Instructed Studio for customized instruction in drawing, sculpture, and painting. Foundational week-long workshops include Elements of Form, Color for Landscape and Still Life, and Topography of the Human Figure.

A new program, the American Academy of Landscape Painting, will be offered in May.
