Brunch on the River

Carlson’s Landing, 63 Main Street, Essex has added Sunday brunch, from 11;30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kicking off in late January, the brunch menu includes a smoked salmon and avocado flatbread, seafood fettuccine, crab and spinach crepes, poached eggs, lobster hash with eggs and hollandaise, fried chicken and waffles, baked French toast, and the CL egg burger with bacon, red onion, tomato, sharp cheddar, and a fried egg. Not seeing what you want? They also offer a Build Your Own Breakfast option, steak optional. And all of that comes with a view of the Connecticut River, since the restaurant is tucked into the historic Essex Boat Works.
