With the final day of the Chester Sunday Market behind us, and with the other area farmers markets winding down, those of us who love supporting our local farmers do have something to look forward to. On Friday, Nov. 16, the Madison Farmers’ Market is sponsoring a Holiday Pop-up Market from 2 to 5 p.m. on the Madison Town Green. The vendors who will be invited include Beaver Brook Farm (meat and dairy); Four Mile River Farm (beef, pork, poultry); Four Root Farm (produce, wreaths); Frank Andrew’s Mobile Kitchen (wood-fired pizza); Mill Pond Essentials (soaps and candles); Newgate Farms (produce); Summer Hill Catering (pies and other prepared foods); and Wave Hill Breads (bread and pastries). “Stock up on delicious local ingredients for your Thanksgiving feasts,” says the Facebook post. Also, we can look forward to the Chester Holiday Markets, which will feature many of the vendors from the summer markets. Those will start Sunday, Nov. 25 and run through Sunday, Dec. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Chester’s quaint and fun-filled downtown. And, in Guilford, Dudley Farmhouse and Museum will host its Holiday Open House & Market on Saturdays, Dec. 1 and Dec. 8, and Sunday, Dec. 2.
